Water Resources
Water Resources Research Center (WRRC)
Florida's five water management districts, state agencies, the state university system, and federal agencies such as the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) are all actively working to help provide sustainable water for the future. However, state-wide coordination is difficult to achieve. One of the major, long-term objectives of the WRRC, which is headed by Dr. Kirk Hatfield at the University of Florida, is to serve as a focus and point of coordination for water-resources research in Florida.
