Embedded Data Collector (EDC) Evaluation Phase II - Comparison with Instrumented Static Load Tests
Abstract: The anticipated outcomes of Embedded Data Collector (EDC) Phase II research are 1) evaluation of EDC estimates of static resistance when compared to static load tests; 2) development of LRFD resistance factors for EDC pile monitoring; 3) establishment of high quality static skin friction and end bearing database, which is useful for multitude of other research; 4) evaluate EDC estimation of pile stresses and damping; and 5) using EDC data in combination with load tests and insitu testing to improve pile freeze predictions as well as CPT axial pile prediction software.
