The University of Florida Graduate School requires all international applicants to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). While our department does not evaluate a student's application solely on GRE scores, the department average scores are 1100 for a Masters degree and 1200 for a Ph. English proficiency must be demonstrated by a minumum score of 320 - verbal on the GRE and 550 (paper), 213 (computer-based), or 80 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or 6 on the IELTS or 77 on the MELAB tests. If your scores are below this minumum requirement, you will not gain admission into our program. We suggest that you seek additional training before your application is submitted and re-test.
International candidates will also need to fill out additional forms and submit additional information to the UF admissions office.
